Professor Pádraig Ó Duibhir is a former primary school principal and Registrar of St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra. Currently, he is Deputy Dean of the DCU Institute of Education and Director of SEALBHÚ, the DCU Research Centre for the Learning and Teaching of Irish. His major teaching and research interests lie in learning Irish as a second language and learning through the medium of Irish. His 2018 monograph, Immersion Education: Lessons from a Minority Language Context, explored language attainment in young learners in Irish-medium education.
